Booking & Reservations
How do I book a charter trip?
You can book directly through our Booking & Calendar page, call us, or send us a message via the Contact page. We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially during peak season (March–August).
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance. Summer weekends and holidays fill up fast. Last-minute bookings are possible when availability allows — check our calendar for open dates.
How many people can join a charter?
Our vessel accommodates up to 12 passengers comfortably. We also offer private charters for groups of any size up to the maximum capacity. Smaller groups are welcome — we do not combine separate bookings on the same trip.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the trip. We accept all major credit cards and cash.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the trip receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit the deposit unless rescheduled. Trips cancelled by us due to dangerous weather are fully refunded or rescheduled at your preference.
Can I make a special request or customize my trip?
Absolutely. We love tailoring trips to your goals. Use our Special Requests form to tell us your target species, celebration (birthdays, corporate outings), dietary needs, or any other preference. We'll do our best to accommodate everything.
Charters, Species & Fishing
What types of charters do you offer?
We offer Half-Day Inshore, Full-Day Inshore, Half-Day Deep Sea, Full-Day Deep Sea, Big Game Offshore, and Overnight Bluewater charters. See our full Charter Packages page for pricing, durations, and what's included on each trip.
What fish species can I expect to catch?
Inshore trips target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Sheepshead. Offshore and deep sea trips go after Mahi-Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, and Kingfish. Our big game and bluewater charters specialize in Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, and Marlin. Availability varies by season.
How far offshore do you go?
Inshore trips stay within the bays and estuaries of the Galveston area. Deep sea trips venture 20–60 miles out into the Gulf. Big game and overnight trips can go 80–150+ miles offshore to reach blue water where Tuna and Marlin run.
What is the best time of year to fish the Gulf Coast?
We fish year-round out of Galveston. Spring (March–May) and Fall (September–November) offer the most diverse action. Summer is prime for deep sea and big game fishing. Winter is excellent for inshore Redfish and Speckled Trout. Our captains will match your trip to what's biting.
Do I need a fishing license?
No individual fishing license is required. All passengers are covered under our vessel's Coast Guard-licensed charter fishing permit, which is valid for the duration of your trip in Texas state and federal Gulf waters.
Can I keep the fish I catch?
Yes! You are welcome to keep your legal catch, subject to Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations and federal Gulf bag limits. Our crew will clean and bag your fish at the dock at no extra charge. We encourage catch-and-release for protected or oversized trophy fish.
Equipment & Gear
Is fishing equipment provided on the charter?
Yes. All standard rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures are included in every charter package. You are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer — just let us know in advance.
Do you offer specialized equipment rental?
Yes. We rent premium spinning rod packages, heavy offshore combos, fishing kayaks, and complete tackle & bait kits. Visit our Equipment Rental page to see availability, specs, and pricing for each item.
What skill level is required?
No experience is necessary! Our inshore and half-day deep sea trips are perfect for beginners and families. Full-day, big game, and overnight charters are better suited for those with some fishing experience, though our crew will guide everyone at any level. Skill level is listed on each charter package.
Are life jackets and safety equipment provided?
Absolutely. Our vessel carries Coast Guard-approved life jackets for all passengers, a first aid kit, emergency flares, a life raft, and all required safety equipment. Safety briefings are given before every departure.
What to Bring & On-Board Experience
What should I bring on the day of my trip?
We recommend: valid photo ID, sunscreen and sunglasses, a hat, non-slip closed-toe shoes, a light jacket (weather can change offshore), any prescription medications, a cooler for your catch, snacks and beverages (or order from our menu), and a camera. Flip-flops are not permitted for safety.
Is food available on the boat?
Yes! We offer a selection of lunch and snack options for purchase on board. Check our Menus page to see the full selection. You're also welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is permitted in moderation.
Is the boat air-conditioned?
Our vessel features a shaded cabin and air-conditioned interior seating area — a welcome relief on hot Gulf Coast summer days. The fishing deck is open-air, so bring sun protection.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Yes, our boat is equipped with an onboard restroom for passenger use throughout the trip.
What if I get seasick?
Motion sickness is common, especially on longer offshore trips. We recommend taking an over-the-counter remedy (e.g. Dramamine) the night before and morning of the trip. The crew has seasickness bags on hand, and our captain will adjust speed and heading when possible to minimize discomfort.
Are children welcome on charters?
Children are absolutely welcome! Inshore and half-day trips are ideal for families with younger anglers. We ask that children under 13 wear a life jacket at all times on the fishing deck. Let us know the ages of young passengers when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
Pricing & Policies
What is included in the charter price?
All charter prices include: captain and crew, all fishing rods, reels, bait and tackle, fish cleaning at the dock, and ice for your catch. Gratuity for the crew (15–20% is customary and always appreciated), food, and beverages are not included unless otherwise noted.
Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are not included in charter pricing. A tip of 15–20% of the charter cost is customary and greatly appreciated by your captain and crew. It can be paid in cash or by card on the day of your trip.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we offer discounted rates for large groups, corporate outings, and repeat customers. Contact us through the Contact page or call us directly to discuss a custom quote for your group.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If the National Weather Service issues a small craft advisory or conditions are deemed unsafe, we will cancel or reschedule your trip at no penalty. You will receive a full refund or a complimentary reschedule — your choice. We monitor weather 24–48 hours before every departure and will contact you promptly.
